The Losail International Circuit has hosted the MotoGP every year since 2004, barring the 2020 season due to Covid-19. Joan Mir has a good, albeit weird, record in Qatar. The Respol Honda man has managed to score points on every single visit to the Lusail circuit but has never been on the podium.
The 2023 Qatar Grand Prix was the same as every other. It looked as though the successive point scoring may come to an end, after a disappointing qualifying. Mir, however, was able to slice his way back through the field to bring home some points for himself and the Respol Honda team.
