The Motorcycle Grand Prix held in Thailand was Mir’s second at the circuit, despite the circuit having been on the official calendar since 2018. The first season Mir rode at the circuit was in 2019, in a race that was won by his now team-mate at the same team that he’s at now.
The 2023 Thai GP was one of the highlights for Mir’s difficult season at his new team. After a disappointing qualifying, the young Spanish rider weaved his way through the grid to finish 12th in both the sprint and the main race. A great point scoring round for the former champion in his difficult year.
