Replica FIM MotoGP World Championship Trophy Plaque – Jorge Lorenzo 2015

The MotoGP Trophy is an incredible work of art that is made by the famous designer, Garcia Rojals. There is only one original trophy in the world, with every Champion having their plaque and name added to the “Champions Tower” and returning it a year later. When they return it, they are presented with a smaller replica of the original trophy, which is also made by Garcia Rojals.  

This is a replica ‘tile’ to celebrate Jorge Lorenzo’s third and final title with Yamaha in 2015. The team that the Spaniard is so famous for riding for. Jorge Lorenzo & Valentino Rossi formed a formidable partnership riding the Works team – as the pair dominated the Riders’, Constructors’ & Teams’ Championships.  

Jorge Lorenzo had a sensational career – and this World Championship was perhaps his best, as it went down to the wire. Having traded the championship lead with his teammate, The Doctor, all season long the pair headed into the final round split by just 7 points – with Rossi leading. Whilst Lorenzo took pole position, Rossi was forced to start at the back of the grid due to a sporting penalty at the previous race. The stage was set, and Lorenzo finished the season off in style – from pole he led every single lap, took fastest lap and won the race to take his last MotoGP title.
